Mondays 10am
Start your Monday off with the easy and soulful vibes with handpicked music from Tommie Slowjam, primarily from the 70s and the 80s. You will hear familiar songs as performed by your favorite R&B artists, and mellow rarities in the mix as well. Some of our core artists include The Dramatics, Harold Melvin and The Blue Notes, Rufus, Tony! Toni! Tone!, Luther Vandross, and Anita Baker.

Mondays 8pm (COMING NOV 3)
For over twenty years on broadcast radio Marc, the Ol’ Folkie, entertained an international audience with Americana music highlighting the singer-songwriters and musicians of the Woodstock Generation. Podcasting now allows the Ol’ Folkie to expand the musical offerings well beyond traditional Americana into what he wants to refer to as,--wait for it--AmericanaPlus. Don, from Roswell, got his handle from Marc the Ol' Folkie in previous music production work with Marc on local Atlanta broadcast radio. Now transitioning to podcasting, Marc, along with Don, will swap songs and sets of songs in a two-hour radio format. Many times, the tunes we pull out of the vaults will feature an overall theme. However, you may hear the custom program Victrola-to-Rock-Ola and others where there is no telling what may come out of the Ol’ Folkies’ vaults and into your speakers from week to week. So, roll up your headband, put on your faded Tie-Dye T-Shirt and well-worn Birkenstocks and be ready to revive the classic music that took us from Woody to Woodstock!

Mondays 10pm
The Night Shift with Tommie Slowjam gives off real late-night radio vibes. Like dim lights, vinyl crackle, deep voiceover, and a mix of sultry R&B, mellow jazz, and heart-to heart dedications.

Tuesdays 6am
Ridin’ the Blues Train features the spectrum of blues music and the genre’s evolution from its African roots – from traditional acoustic Delta and Piedmont style blues to contemporary electric blues. The program spotlights Georgia musicians along with regional, national and international artists, including interviews with musicians and live, in-studio performances. Playlists are crafted to engage listeners through the music’s introspective and metaphorical content as the artists explore personal, social and political events. A unique attribute of the blues serves as the program’s subliminal foundation – the visceral impact the music delivers through its direct lineage to traditional gospel and spirituals.

Every Other Tuesday 10am
You will hear Doo Wop, Soul, The original Rock ’N Roll, Blues, R&B and Funk by artists that you know and love. You will also hear music from their discography that you may never have heard, including B Sides and Unreleased Music. I will present regional artists and artists from around the world that you may have never heard. Also from time to time I will select an artist, group or person of interest and present their back story as it relates to this music.

Tuesdays 10pm
Spectrum is a musical expedition covering the entire spectrum of jazz. Hosted by James Ellison, the show explores the many shades of jazz—swing, bebop, modal, fusion, spiritual, avant garde, and beyond—connecting the past, present and future of the genre. Each episode blends timeless recordings with bold fresh voices, highlighting both legendary masters and emerging artists redefining jazz on their own terms. Spectrum is your guide to the infinite colors of this ever evolving music.

Wednesdays 10pm
Veteran DJ Ralph Rice’s skillfully curated jazz program, titled “Ellington, Monk, Trane, And More,” pays homage to the rich and complex history of classic and straight-ahead jazz, focusing on the legendary contributions of musicians like John Coltrane, Duke Ellington, and Thelonious Monk, among many others. Besides the many other planned festivities, we will also celebrate Atlanta’s vibrant and thriving jazz music scene, a significant and integral part of the city’s rich cultural heritage and landscape. With the goal of captivating a diverse audience, including both seasoned jazz aficionados and newcomers to the genre, this proposed program structure incorporates a carefully curated sequence of musical selections designed to foster engagement and appreciation.

Thursdays 10pm
The program will feature classic jazz, current jazz that is in the tradition of classic jazz, jazz fusion, and music by local artists covering all forms of jazz. I also plan to conduct interviews with many of our local artists and publicize the jazz happenings at our local venues. I have been a jazz fan since my mid-teens, first embracing artists of a smooth/contemporary nature and fusion but over the years expanding my tastes to include bop, hard bop, modal, post-bop, chamber, and free/avant garde. My show is intended to be an "exploration" of the various flavors of jazz from the past, present, and future of the music.
